I don't like going outside.
It's hot, there are bugs out there, and it's dirty. I kick the kids out of the house on a daily basis, so don't think I trap them in the house all day. I just don't like going out there with them. Here in Georgia, the humidity makes it feel like stepping into a sauna as soon as you set foot outside the front door. I can't stand it when my clothes stick to me or when I'm constantly wiping at a film of sweat on my upper lip. I'd rather sit indoors where there's air conditioning and cool water to drink.
I want my kids to go outside and play. They need the Vitamin D and fresh air. They need to get dirty and play with bugs. Do I like to go with them, though?

You and me both! I hate going outside when it is hot...I don't really like plaing around or just sitting and watching...plus I am allergic to GRASS so I itch whenever I get close to it.
Ugh the humidity would get to me. Here in CA we have heat but rarely a lot of humidity so I can kinda handle it. But I'd rather sit and read inside while my son plays outside to be honest.
oh yes, thats why i need to find a place to move that is fall all year long ! I love summer cause the kids can be outside and I love winter cause it is so pretty ! But the cold and the hot , nah I can do without it ! Hope you have a great weekend
I completely agree! It has to be perfect weather conditions to make me want to go outside with my kids.
I am not a nature person either. Between my allergies and bugs, I am miserable.
LOL I thought about doing this one! I'm an indoor girl! I hate bugs and hot weather! I'm a Spring person! :)
I don't blame you at all. The bugs drive me insane and I hate being hot. I'm definitely an indoor person!
Seriously!! I live in GA too SO HUMID!!! I always feel sticky...
Once the weather gets really hot, I'm with you. Give me some A/C and a glass of lemonade!

I can't blame you there. Sometimes it is so miserable outside i just want to stay in too. I live in Wisconsin though, I probably would never go outside if I lived in Georgia!
I think its more of the mental break than anything else.....however, I usually find myself outside playing too!
When it is hot, I prefer my AC. Last summer I did spend a lot of time sitting in the pool with my daughter. No, we don't have built in beautiful pool. We have a $30 air up walmart kiddie pool, but it did the job. Do you know if they make waterproof cases for laptops? Hmmm?

lol same here!!!! if we lived closer, i would come over and hang out in the air conditioning while the kids got dirty outside :o)
