I'm reading from the comfort of my own home in Harlem, GA. We will probably be snuggled up on the futon or papasan chair for most of the day.
3 facts about me …
- I usually spend my Saturdays knitting , so this is a huge change!
- I am also helping my toddler potty-learn. This may or may not interfere with reading.
- I can't remember the last time we turned the television off for an entire day.
How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours?
There are at least ten, but most of them are short story books. I'm also not counting the children's books that I'm going to be reading with my youngest boys. For myself, there are three books that I want to actually finish. This will probably happen after the boys are in bed.
Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)?
I have no goals except to make it through the next 24 hours without pulling my hair out! It will be just me & the boys for a while, but once my husband comes home, things may get easier.
Any advice for people doing this for the first time?
Since this is my first time, I'm not qualified to give advice. What I told myself, though, was just to relax and make this fun. :)

That's interesting that you usually knit on Saturdays! I just took up sewing, and all last night I was cutting out a new pattern. But I'm ok leaving it alone for books. :)

I love your knitting!! I once tried to make a hat and it ended up looking like a witch's hat!! How in the world do you get to knit and read with little ones running around? I need advice! I have a 2 year old and I only seem to be able to read when she is napping!
